Why Trust Matters in Telehealth
When you share your health information with a telehealth provider, you are placing significant trust in that organization. At Innocre Telehealth, we believe that trust must be earned through consistent action, not just promises on a webpage. That is why we have built every aspect of our practice around patient safety, data privacy, and clinical integrity.
Many telehealth companies operate on a high-volume, low-touch model designed to maximize visit counts. They use aggressive advertising, collect more data than necessary, and prescribe based on rigid protocols that treat every patient the same way. We take the opposite approach. Our founder, Atul S. Vellappally, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC, built Innocre as a family practice where every patient receives an individualized care plan informed by their unique medical history, lifestyle, and clinical needs.
Our conservative prescribing policy is one example of this commitment. We do not prescribe controlled substances, opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants, or antipsychotics via telehealth. If your condition requires these medications, we will refer you to an appropriate in-person specialist who can provide the hands-on evaluation that responsible prescribing demands. This policy exists to protect you and to maintain the clinical integrity that our patients depend on.
Data privacy is not an afterthought at Innocre. We do not sell patient health data, share it with advertisers, or use tracking pixels on clinical pages. Every vendor that handles protected health information has signed a Business Associate Agreement. We use 256-bit AES encryption for all visits, messages, and medical records, and we follow industry-standard security practices designed to protect patient data.
We are licensed and accepting patients in Maryland, Washington, and Delaware. Whether you need urgent care for a UTI or sinus infection, a bridge prescription while you wait for a new primary care provider, or ongoing chronic care management, Innocre is here to provide safe, thoughtful, evidence-based care you can trust.
