Common Questions

Women's Health Telehealth FAQ

Telehealth is highly appropriate for a broad range of women's health concerns. Conditions including urinary tract infections, vaginal infections (yeast, BV, trichomoniasis), birth control consultations, hormonal symptom management, skin conditions, STI evaluation, and chronic disease management can all be effectively addressed via a thorough video consultation and symptom history. Conditions that require a physical pelvic exam, Pap smear, bimanual examination, or in-person diagnostic procedures are referred appropriately to in-person care.

Yes. All Innocre Telehealth visits are conducted over an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platform. Your medical information is protected under the same privacy laws that apply to in-person healthcare visits. Electronic prescriptions are sent directly to your chosen pharmacy. Visit notes and records are stored securely. Our provider treats all patient information with strict confidentiality.

Yes. Combined oral contraceptives, progestin-only pills, the contraceptive patch (Xulane), and the vaginal ring (NuvaRing) can all be prescribed following a comprehensive telehealth evaluation. The consultation will review your medical and reproductive history, assess for contraindications (such as history of blood clots, migraines with aura, or cardiovascular risk factors), and discuss the most appropriate option for your needs. Intrauterine devices (IUDs) and implants require in-person placement and will be referred accordingly.

Hormonal concerns including irregular menstrual cycles, symptoms consistent with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), perimenopausal symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, irregular periods), and thyroid-related symptoms can be evaluated via telehealth. Your provider may order laboratory testing to assess hormone levels, thyroid function, or glucose metabolism as part of a comprehensive workup. Treatment recommendations are based on the full clinical picture and current evidence-based guidelines.

Innocre Telehealth currently serves patients located in Delaware (DE), Maryland (MD), and Washington (WA). You must be physically present in one of these states at the time of your telehealth visit. If you are unsure whether your state is covered, please contact us before booking.
