- • Priapism (prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours) — go to the ER immediately
- • Sudden testicular pain or swelling — testicular torsion is a surgical emergency requiring immediate care
- • High fever with chills and urinary retention — possible septic prostatitis requiring IV antibiotics
