What Mental Health Care Looks Like at Innocre

Innocre Telehealth is a primary care practice with prescribing authority — not a psychiatric specialty practice and not a therapy practice. Within that scope, we provide a meaningful service: bridge medication management for patients with stable, established mental-health diagnoses who have lost access to their previous prescriber.

If you have been managed for years on a non-controlled antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication and your psychiatrist's office now has a six-month wait, we can keep you covered while you re-establish specialty care. We will review your history, your current regimen, and your stability, and continue or adjust your medication on a case-by-case basis.

All visits are 30-minute default with our board-certified provider. We document carefully, communicate with your existing care team when you have one, and refer you back to specialty mental health care actively — not as an afterthought.

What We Handle

All on a case-by-case basis after a thorough history and review. The list below is not a guarantee of treatment — your provider may determine an in-person evaluation is the safer call.

Medication Continuation & Bridge

Bridge prescriptions for SSRIs / SNRIs (sertraline, escitalopram, fluoxetine, venlafaxine, duloxetine)
Continuation of bupropion, mirtazapine, trazodone, vortioxetine (Trintellix), or vilazodone (Viibryd) for established diagnoses
Buspirone for chronic anxiety
Sleep hygiene counseling & non-controlled sleep aids

Evaluation & Screening

Initial evaluation of mild-to-moderate depression or anxiety
PHQ-9 / GAD-7 screening and tracking

Coordination & Referrals

Therapist & psychiatrist referrals (curated network)
Care coordination with existing therapist or psychiatrist

Lost access to your prescriber? We can help bridge your care.

What We Do Not Provide

We will tell you honestly when something is outside our scope and refer you appropriately. We do not provide:

  • Controlled substances — including ADHD stimulants (Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin), benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan), or opioids
  • Antipsychotics & mood stabilizers — including Abilify, Seroquel, Risperdal (antipsychotics) and lithium (mood stabilizer); these require closer lab and clinical monitoring than telehealth bridge care can safely provide
  • Psychotherapy or counseling sessions — we do not provide CBT, DBT, EMDR, or talk therapy
  • New ADHD diagnosis or treatment — this requires in-person specialty evaluation
  • Severe or unstable conditions — bipolar I, schizophrenia, eating disorders, OCD requiring intensive treatment
  • Active substance use disorder treatment — including suboxone or methadone management
  • Crisis intervention — call 988, text HOME to 741741, or go to your nearest ER

Frequently Asked Questions

No — under no circumstances. Innocre Telehealth does not prescribe controlled substances of any class, including ADHD stimulants (Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin, Concerta), benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium), opioids, or any Schedule II–V medication. This is a firm clinical and regulatory boundary, not a default we negotiate. Patients who need these medications must be seen by a provider who has an in-person clinical relationship with them. We are happy to refer you to in-person psychiatric and primary-care providers.
Often yes — this is the most common reason patients book a mental health visit with us. If you have an established diagnosis, have been stable on a non-controlled medication, and have lost access to your previous prescriber, we can review your history and continue your medication on a case-by-case basis while you re-establish specialty care. Bring your medication list and any records you can get, and we will work with you.
No. Innocre is a medical practice, not a therapy practice. We do not provide CBT, DBT, EMDR, talk therapy, or counseling sessions. We refer to licensed therapists actively, and we coordinate care if you already have one. For most patients, the right combination is a therapist for the talking work and a prescriber for the medication work — they complement each other.
We do not perform new ADHD evaluations or treat ADHD. The standard of care for new ADHD diagnosis includes structured rating scales, collateral history, and often neuropsychological testing — and ruling out medical mimics such as thyroid disease, sleep apnea, anemia, and substance use. The medication treatment is also controlled. Both the diagnostic and treatment pieces are outside our scope. We refer to in-person psychiatrists and adult-ADHD specialty practices.
If you are having thoughts of self-harm, please reach out to crisis services right now — telehealth is not the right setting for an active crisis. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 24/7), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), or call 911 / go to your nearest emergency room if there is immediate danger. Once you are safe and stable, we can be part of your ongoing care plan — but the immediate priority is getting connected to crisis-trained help.
Innocre Telehealth is currently licensed to see patients located in Delaware (DE), Maryland (MD), and Washington (WA) at the time of their visit. You must be physically present in one of these three states during your appointment.
